Okay here it is the the first of many challenges for the members of the LFD:
5 pull-ups
10 push-ups
15 squats
20 sit-ups
repeat this circuit 10 times.
Record your total time in the comments. This workout is geared towards some of the tests in our annual fitness assessment, and completion of 10 rounds is a great workout, and anything under 30 minutes is in great shape.
Also encourage others to get involved, there are 2 pull-ups bars in our workout room at station 1, so while on crews plan a workout and race with the crew. If you struggle with pull-ups, do them with a little assistance (or kip).
And as always if you have any health/fitness related questions, or suggestions for our blog, let me know.
13 Minutes 8 seconds.
ReplyDeleteNext Challenge Homies....
Looks like FF Thomas has set the bar pretty high. Solid work Jason!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't quite hang with FF Thomas. 13:48 for me. And I wouldn't say those pull-ups were "assisted"....but I will admit that my form was sloppy at the end!!
ReplyDeleteFitness. Yeah!
13:40 for me, nice work gents.
ReplyDeleteNormally I would say "Albright you liar," but I was right there with him, though he just barely beat my time of:
ReplyDelete12 minutes 37 seconds.
Try this challenge with a partner, it will push you that much harder.
In an effort at self improvement, mostly in situps, a paltry 40 min flat.
ReplyDeleteDamn - Anchorman lives up to his name with a depressing 20:57.
ReplyDeleteCardio definitely hurt me, as did the sit-ups. By round 6 I was having to take a break after 10.
Jon - we'll have work large numbers of sit-ups into our work outs.
28:34. And I thought I was happy with that. Then I read this.
ReplyDeleteAlright, next attempt will be better. Geez..12, 13 minutes. Hope you guys have been practicing your victim carries for the Mudder.
11:40..........BAMMMM rock it!
ReplyDeleteGreat work everyone!! Just completing this challenge is an accomplishment, but 11:40...... WOW. There's got to be someone out there who can beat that :)
ReplyDeleteSo everyone go recruit someone who hasn't posted a time yet and do it again with them (try and beat your first time)
Also for all you 'mudders' try it with an evil twist: Same workout but add a 1/4 mile run between each set (ouch) for a total of 2.5 miles
11:05. Great work everyone!
ReplyDeleteSo, did this ridiculous thing again and got 24:20. An improvement but still no where near those other times. Oh well, I'm not where I want to be but I'm better than I was before.
